Solitary. Awe inspiring. Majestic. These adjectives best described Oregon's Mount Hood. No wonder many visitors take a day trip to witness the "extraordinary" of this place. There are many activities visitors can enjoy in this place. While others are camping, skiing, boarding and even hiking tops the fun. In fact, many summer visitors come to hike at the dormant volcano or to many waterfalls or clear lakes with eyes cast down to enjoy the wildflowers. And its in 60 miles east of Portland where you can step here. January-March are best times for skiing or boarding, late July-early September for hiking and July-August for wildflowers.
So hike of the easy trails southeast of Mount Hood for gorgeous view or rather you can wait in nearby Portland for clear weather.
There are lots of wonderful experiences waiting stored for us at Mount Hood.
