The Old Man of Hoy, United Kingdom

Do you know an island that is not flat which is found in the United Kingdom? It is The Old Man of Hoy.

This island is said to be the second largest of the islands after Mainland in UK. It is the only island that is not flat that tourists can see the vivid green turf and vertical cliffs which are reaching down to the sand beaches and turquoise bays from the views on its hills.

Based on my research, it was Chris Bonnington's team in 1966 who made the first successful recorded climb ever in history of The Old Man of Hoy's successful climbers.

This island is also the abode of seal colonies, porpoises, otters, seabirds, puffins and wildflowers. Tourists can take a full view of the place through traveling by air to Kirkwall then take a ferry. There is also a car ferry service that runs from Aberdeen and Lerwick.

This spectacular scenery and amazing wildlife store wonderful memories for visitors in their travel there.
